Several problems with this concept. Climate change and universal basic income indicate a severe lack of critical thinking skills. Any change in electoral funding arrangements first need a parliament dominated by independent minds who understand conflicts of interest. You will never find those in any political party, ever. Every single one will devolve, eventually, to serving its own self interest ahead of all other considerations.

An organisation devoted to promoting the value of independent political representation to the electorate, and nothing else, is what is needed. Without that we are doomed to an eternity of endless bullshit that is incapable if delivering the real change that allows improvement.

I wouldn't seek to disagree with this, unless of course you are saying I have a "severe lack of critical thinking skills". But if you think all we need is "independent political representation and nothing else" I might respond that we need a good deal more than that in our political arrangements. Independents are as vulnerable to capture as any other human or party. Also, I don't think you could have listened to this 25 minute podcast because you posted this comment only 8 minutes after I released it. Perhaps give it a full hearing before you discard it.
